Wish List Wednesday

Since October (okay, maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit), my mom has been asking me what I wanted for Christmas. I guess today’s Wish List Wednesday is the ‘Lindsey Gift Guide’…ahem, SO and Mom, you’re welcome! Ha ha!

I’ve been coveting this i smell great perfume for a while. I tried out the sample pack and Wild Honey was my favorite. It lasts all day and smells so good!

As I become more and more obsessed with hiking (it’s not doing me much good down here in Louisiana!), I’d love a great pair of trail shoes and this pair of Saucony shoes got rave reviews.

LOVE this bracelet – so pretty and can be dressed up and down!

Reese Witherspoon was brilliant in the move, Wild, but I really want to read the book. I bought it for my brother-in-law a few years ago and wish I would have grabbed an extra copy.

If I had to sum up my hopes and dreams in 10 words, I think this shirt is pretty much on point. Coffee could be replaced with wine, too – I think I love them equally!

At this point in my life, I’ve baked thousands of cupcakes and I STILL cannot make a full batch that are consistency the same size. This little cupcake scoop would be a HUGE help!

The Big Cats Initiative collaboration with TOMS and National Geographic has been included in several gift guides and it’s making another appearance. I usually don’t invest too much in sunglasses, but I’m loving these – and the fact that profits benefit big cat conservation – purrrrrrrfection!

Anyone that knows me knows how obsessed I am with Ellen. This water bottle would be great for work – I’m REALLY trying to drink more water!

We have a few Pure Barre locations in NOLA and I’d love to try some classes—I’ve only heard amazing things and it’d be fun to try a new workout.

Board games are a blast – would love to add Cards Against Humanity to my collection.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Have a great day!

Wish List Wednesday

Happy Wednesday!

Today’s list has a little bit of everything, including three pieces from Target’s fall line that I LOVE. The Adam Lippes for Target line launched on Sunday and I wish I could have gone a shopping spree. It made me really miss living in a place where you experience all four seasons. I’ve always loved fall–especially fall fashion (boots, sweaters, leggings, scarves…the list goes on)–but, down here it is just too hot to  stock up on coats and sweaters. I may have to snag the shift dress though!

Over the summer, I got my first gel manicure and loved it so much. However, it pained me to spend $30-$40 to get my nails done, even if they did last a couple of weeks. I’ve been doing at-home manicures for a few years and have kind of mastered it, so I decided to purchase one of the at-home gel kits during a sale (I got mine at Walgreen’s). Honestly, I LOVE it. It’s so easy to do at home and so convenient. If you have a steady hand with nail polish, it’s worth a shot!

I’ve been feeling a little homesick for Ohio so I had to add in the Buckeyes sweatshirt and the Catbird rings are something I’ve had my eye on for a long time. I’d love to have J&L to layer on my right hand. They’re so dainty and cute.

One of the other items that I’ve had my eye on for awhile are the Carbon 38 workout leggings with the longhorn skull on the thigh. I first saw them on Sophia Bush’s Instagram and I just really like all of their styles — they’ve got some edge to them and would be great for workouts or paired with some wedge sneakers to run errands.

Hope everyone has a great day – what are you currently coveting?

Four (not Five) Things for Friday

The weekend is here!

It’s been a long [short] week and I’m looking forward to catching up with some friends this weekend and the start of football season.

Walked into this situation this evening in our bathroom. Jo found himself trapped on the side of the bath — how do these things even happen?!

Saturday marks the annual Saints Kickoff Run which finishes on the 50-yard-line inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. All proceeds benefit the Louisiana Children’s Museum. More info can be found on the website.

Had the VERY good fortunate of eating at Peche last night. It was the second time I had been there and I’ve had the above appetizer both times — the crab claws with pickled chilies. So delicious — have yet to try something there I haven’t loved!

Hoping to do some baking this weekend — hope they come out as amazing as the ones in the store!

Have a great weekend!
