Today’s post started out with a red, white and blue theme since it’s Veteran’s Day, but, as I continued to search online, I was SO excited to find so many companies donating part of their profits to a variety of organizations providing support to military members and their families.

Our appreciation should extend beyond Veteran’s Day — so, to any military members or veterans reading today… THANK YOU. And thank you not just today, but everyday. And thank you to your families — the sacrifices you make are incredible and, without you, we wouldn’t have all of the freedoms we enjoy today.

Please take the time to check out some of the items in today’s post — the ones with red numbers next to them indicate that a portion of the profits from the products support our military members.

Some of my favorite items with a charitable component are the purse (10; made by Sword & Plough from repurposed military materials) and the USA shirt (11) which is made by Sevenly.

Sword and Plough works with several non-profits supporting military members withs special focus on veteran employment. Sevenly donates 7% of sales from their Taps + Sevenly collection to TAPS, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. TAPS provides care to all those grieving the death of a loved one serving in our Armed Forces. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24 hours a day, seven days a week through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones. Sevenly also has a collection of shirts supporting Southeastern Guide Dogs, an organization that matches veterans suffering from PTSD with services dogs.

Hope you enjoy the post and are inspired to thank a veteran or military member today – and everyday!

P.S. Pelicans got their first win last night! Looking forward to many more ahead!
